Law Week Colorado Names Partner Mindy Sooter One of the State's Top Litigators

Firm News

Law Week Colorado has named Denver Partner Mindy Sooter one of Colorado's most talented and accomplished litigation attorneys. The recognition, part of the publication's annual Top Litigators awards, recognizes “the leading trial attorneys in the state who had the biggest wins—and saves—in the courtroom.” Sooter was selected based on her courtroom work for clients Comcast and Medtronic.

Natalie Hanlon Leh, the co-partner-in-charge of the Denver office of WilmerHale, said that Sooter's strength in the courtroom is her knowledge of both technology and the law, and that her deep understanding of highly technical issues is enhanced by the fact that she is also an engineer. Sooter earned her bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University and her master's degree in engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and she worked as a practicing engineer at Texas Instruments and Requisite Technology, as well as an engineering consultant at Accenture, prior to attending law school.

“It is that combination of deep technical expertise, combined with strong litigation experience earned through nearly 15 years as a practicing attorney, that makes her different and better than nearly every other IP Litigation attorney in Denver when it comes to her effectiveness in the courtroom,” Hanlon Leh added.
