Experience

WilmerHale's Labor and Employment Department provides services in: (1) general advice and counseling, (2) training, (3) employment litigation and alternative dispute resolution, (4) traditional labor law and (5) other services, including client assessments to insure employment law compliance and international labor law. Our experience in each of these areas is outlined in the practice areas section of this website. Our recent experience includes:

  • Successfully obtaining summary judgment, which was affirmed on appeal, for a software company in a case in which an employee sought over $10 million in stock options. The case presented an issue of first impression concerning whether vesting was a material term of an option agreement.
  • Representation of the Boston Celtics in the enforcement of player contracts and the team's rights under the NBA collective bargaining agreement.
