Kate Saxton is a special counsel in the firm's Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2002.

Practice

Ms. Saxton has a diverse litigation practice, with a focus on intellectual property matters. She has represented clients in patent disputes involving a variety of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, mobile communications, integrated circuits, light based dermatological applications, water treatment systems, digital imaging and video compression. She has also represented companies in unfair competition, securities and government investigation matters. Her practice has encompassed all facets of litigation, including discovery, settlement, alternative dispute resolution, and trials.

Ms. Saxton is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Professional Activities

Ms. Saxton has been a guest lecturer at the Harvard Business School on the topics of intellectual property, non-disclosure agreements and non-competition agreements.

Ms. Saxton is a member of the Boston and American Bar Association.
