The German Federal Association of In-House Counsel (Bundesverband der Unternehmensjuristen e.V.) has recognized WilmerHale in its kanzleimonitor.de survey, which ranks law firms in Germany based on evaluations from in-house counsel. The firm placed second on the kanzleimonitor.de2014/2015 list of most recommended law firms in North and South America, a ranking that demonstrates the effectiveness of the close cooperation between the firm's German lawyers and their US colleagues. It also placed 28th on list of most recommended law firms in Germany.

Survey participants also recommended German firms and lawyers by industry and practice. In these rankings, WilmerHale came in as the number-two law firm in the aviation industry and among the top 10 firms for transportation and logistics. The firm also earned recommendations in 12 practice areas. Partner Franz Schwarz (Litigation & ADR) merited and individual recognition.

Kanzleimonitor.de, which the German Federal Association of In-House started last year, is the first empirical study in Germany to base its rankings solely on evaluations from in-house counsel. The 2014/2015 survey was far-reaching, with more than 6,000 in-house counsel from 578 companies in various industries taking part.
