Washingtonian magazine named Partner Jonathan Yarowsky, WilmerHale’s Public Policy and Legislative Affairs Practice Co-Chair, to its annual list of the most influential people in the nation’s capital.

The list consists of the top 500 individuals who “shape the laws that govern the country and ultimately affect the course of history,” the publication said. Yarowsky is one of only three lawyers from big law firms to make the list of the 12 individuals in the antitrust category.

Yarowsky provides strategic counsel and multi-branch advocacy to clients in an array of areas including antitrust, telecommunications policy, intellectual property and administrative practice and procedure.

Before WilmerHale, Yarowsky held several senior-level positions in the federal government, including serving as Special Counsel to the President, in President Clinton’s White House. He was also General Counsel of the House Judiciary Committee and, in that role, Vice Chair of the Antitrust Modernization Commission. His wealth of experience and subject-matter knowledge have made him a highly sought-out thought leader on antitrust and other policy issues. For example, Biden Administration officials recently asked him to contribute ideas for antitrust policy changes necessitated by the supply-chain-bottleneck driven increase in merger activity.
