Heidi Ruckriegle, a senior associate in the Denver office of WilmerHale, has been named one of Colorado’s 2018 “Up and Coming Lawyers” by Law Week Colorado. The award recognizes Colorado’s next generation of attorneys who are quickly making their mark in the state’s legal community. She was selected by the publication’s editors based on the strength of her client work, volunteer efforts and overall community impact.
Ruckriegle’s practice focuses on natural resources, energy, environmental and public lands matters. She represents clients in oil and gas development, mining projects, transmission infrastructure, renewable energy infrastructure and water law. She also counsels clients on various recreation matters, including advising ski areas on environmental issues and land use permitting and development.
In recognizing Ruckriegle, Law Week Colorado noted, “At WilmerHale, her practice is focused on natural resources and environmental law, and she has recently gotten involved in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Sarbanes-Oxley investigations as well. But some of the most significant work she’s done in the past year was her pro bono work to help get four immigrant women released from the Aurora detention center after they were detained through the federal government’s family separation policy.”
