William M. Powers focuses his practice on complex litigation matters. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Powers worked as an account executive at a government affairs firm in Washington DC, where he advocated for clients in healthcare and higher education. Earlier, he served as a project coordinator at Legal Aid Chicago, as part of AmeriCorps. At Legal Aid, he launched and managed a program that helped low-income individuals access public benefits.

While in law school, Mr. Powers served as a research assistant, specializing in research on international investment law. He also served as Online Executive Editor at the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law and competed in a variety of domestic and international moot court competitions.
