Wesley Schmidt focuses his practice on government and internal investigations, as well as complex litigation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Schmidt worked as a law clerk for a Kentucky firm. During law school, he served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Eric Komitee of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He also completed an externship in the criminal division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. In addition to earning his JD from Columbia Law School, Mr. Schmidt graduated cum laude from the University of Amsterdam with an LLM in International Criminal Law. His thesis, Territorial Jurisdiction Without Territory: Addressing Cybercrimes Before the ICC, examined ways the International Criminal Court could interpret its territorial jurisdiction over cybercrimes.
