Shervin Z. Taheran
Associate
Shervin Taheran advises clients on complex national security, defense, regulatory compliance and government contract matters, including internal investigations, government ethics rules, as well as sanctions and export control compliance and advising.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Taheran was a law clerk to Senator Richard Durbin (IL.), Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee. She also was a research assistant in the Georgetown University Law Center’s Center on National Security and the Law and a pre-doctoral fellow with the CNSL NatSec Tech Incubator Project’s Research Consortium. She also interned at the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the US State Department’s Office of the Legal Advisor. Ms. Taheran previously held two roles in US Congress’ Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, and Nonproliferation, including Foreign Policy Fellow for Chairman Ami Bera (Cal.) and Nuclear Security Working Group Fellow for Chairman Brad Sherman (Cal.)
Prior to pursuing her legal studies, Ms. Taheran held several roles for the Arms Control Association in Washington DC focusing on nuclear and WMD nonproliferation policy, the congressional annual budget, and related issues.
