Sara Orton focuses her practice on complex litigation matters. She joined the firm as a Summer Associate in the Los Angeles office. Ms. Orton maintains an active pro bono practice focused on immigration and civil rights.

While in law school, Ms. Orton was involved in UCLA Law’s Appellate Advocacy Clinic, litigating civil rights appeals in prisoners’ rights cases before the Ninth and Eighth Circuits. She served as a law clerk in the California Attorney General’s Civil Rights Enforcement Division and worked as a research assistant to professors specializing in constitutional and technology law. Ms. Orton also externed at Legal Aid at Work, Centro de los Derechos del Migrante and Bet Tzedek Legal Services during her law school tenure.

Prior to pursuing her legal studies, Ms. Orton worked in immigration policy advocacy and in operations at a political technology company.
