Sara E. Hershman represents clients in general commercial litigation, securities litigation, products liability litigation, bankruptcy litigation, ERISA litigation and private antitrust matters. She is experienced in trial strategy, regularly represents clients in several different areas of law before federal and state courts and arbitrators, and has taken direct and cross examination in federal court. Ms. Hershman also maintains a substantial pro bono practice focused on voting rights. Prior to joining WilmerHale, she was a litigation associate for an international law firm and clerked for the Honorable Mary M. Schroeder of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. 

During law school, Ms. Hershman was a summer associate for an international law firm, a research assistant at The University of Chicago Law School, and a legal intern at The University of Chicago Mendel Legal Aid Clinic and Abrams Environmental Law Clinic. She previously worked as a litigation paralegal for an international law firm. While pursuing her undergraduate education, Ms. Hershman was a research assistant at Barnard College.
