Sam Cohen focuses his practice on complex civil litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. Before joining WilmerHale, Mr. Cohen served as a Trial Attorney in the Department of Justice Federal Programs Branch. Mr. Cohen previously served as a law clerk for both the Honorable Richard R. Clifton of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Jill A. Otake of the US District Court for the District of Hawaii. He maintains an active criminal and civil pro bono practice.  

While in law school, Mr. Cohen interned in the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts. Prior to law school, Mr. Cohen served as a surface warfare officer in the United States Navy.
