Michael B. Charbonneau

Michael Charbonneau focuses his practice on complex litigation matters. He interned for the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York in the summer of 2023 before joining WilmerHale’s New York office as a summer associate in 2024. 

In his final year of law school, Mr. Charbonneau worked as an SJC Rule 3:03 certified student-attorney in the Trial Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. He drafted legal briefs and dispositive motions, argued a motion to dismiss in state Superior Court, deposed the plaintiff in a suit against the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and researched legal issues at both the federal and state levels. 

Mr. Charbonneau previously held legal internships with Putnam County Court Judge Joseph J. Spofford Jr. and the Philadelphia Justice Project for Women and Girls, where he conducted statutory research, reviewed trial transcripts for prosecutorial misconduct, and coordinated communications between the non-profit organization and its clients.
