Maria Lemus focuses her practice on complex civil litigation matters. She also maintains an active bono practice focused on issues of reproductive rights and criminal justice. She began her career at WilmerHale as a summer associate in 2023, rejoining the firm as an associate in 2024 after completing law school.

While in law school, Ms. Lemus served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Patti B. Saris of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Honorable Dalila A. Wendlandt of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. She was also a teaching assistant for courses in Constitutional Law and Legal Research and Writing.

Prior to law school, Ms. Lemus was a litigation paralegal at a boutique litigation firm.
