Maria Camila Hoyos is an associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department and a member of the International Arbitration Practice Group. Ms. Hoyos advises clients in arbitration matters and cross-border litigation involving common law and civil law legal systems in a wide range of industries conducted in Spanish, Portuguese and English. She has particular experience with energy, mining, construction, consumer goods and shareholder disputes.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Hoyos worked at leading law firms in New York, Lisbon and Bogotá, where her practice focused on international arbitration and litigation. She also worked as in-house counsel in highly-regulated Fortune 500 companies.

Ms. Hoyos co-founded the Portuguese Very Young Arbitration Practitioners network and currently sits as Deputy to the American Bar Association International Law Section’s Chair (a position she also held for the 2018–2020 term).
