Madeeha Dean represents clients in complex litigation matters, including securities fraud, consumer class actions and intellectual property. She also maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on immigration and veterans’ benefits claims. 

Ms. Dean previously worked as a Litigation Associate and Summer Associate at the firm. Prior to rejoining the firm, she clerked for Judge Gabriel P. Sanchez on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge Dena M. Coggins on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.  

During her time at Berkeley Law, Ms. Dean was a graduate student researcher for Professor Sonia Katyal and concentrated on trade secrecy issues in employment, environmental and criminal law. She was also a member of the Board of Advocates Appellate Advocacy Team and volunteered with several organizations, including the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, the Native American Legal Assistance Project, and Asian Americans Advancing Justice.  

Prior to law school, Ms. Dean worked as a research assistant in the Center for Environmental Policy and Behavior’s Arnold Lab and was a legislative affairs intern in the Office of California Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr.
