Landis A. Hagerty focuses his practice on complex litigation matters. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Hagerty served as a legal intern in the Consumer Protection division of the Colorado Office of the Attorney General, where he drafted complaints, supporting affidavits, and civil investigative demands for civil fraud actions and was a member of a multi-state team coordinating two 40-plus state attorneys general offices’ MDLs brought against major technology companies. He also served as an intern for an international law firm, where he contributed to a first-of-its kind, nine-figure whistleblower action under the DC False Claims Act.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hagerty worked as a consultant, leading a team conducting statewide COVID-19 after-action reports and improvement plans, interviewing senior state officials and drafting formal reports with recommendations for future pandemic readiness. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hagerty assisted with contracts, claims and litigation preparation at a maritime transportation firm. His additional prior experience includes an internship with the Washington DC office of Senator Michael Bennet and paralegal work on federal death penalty and international drug trafficking cases.

In law school, Mr. Hagerty served as an Articles Editor for The George Washington Law Review. His academic work regarding the citizenship of non-corporate entities in diversity jurisdiction cases has been published in The Review of Litigation.
