Associate
Kristen Shirley focuses her practice on complex intellectual property litigation matters, with an emphasis on patent litigation. She joined the firm in 2022 as an intellectual property associate before departing in 2023 for a clerkship with the Honorable Leonard P. Stark of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Shirley was a patent examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where she examined applications related to fitness/nutrition tracking apps and training devices. As a chemical engineering student, Ms. Shirley worked as an intern at a pulp and paper mill where she monitored and optimized chemical recovery in the Kraft process.
