John Kim focuses on intellectual property litigation, post-grant proceedings and patent prosecution of domestic, international and foreign patent applications. Mr. Kim works with a variety of clients, such as those in the technology industry, including the engineering and computer technology sectors. His recent patent litigations have involved wireless communication and standard essential patents.

Mr. Kim joined the firm as a summer associate in 2021 before joining full time as a technology specialist. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kim was a hardware design engineer with Supermicro Computer Inc., where he designed and developed server hardware and firmware. Previously, he was a summer associate at another law firm in Palo Alto and a Fundamentals of EE, Mechatronic Design teaching assistant at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
