John Kim focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation across all phases, from pre-suit investigation to trial before federal district courts, the US International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. His work also includes licensing negotiation and patent prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications. John works with a wide range of clients in the technology industry, including those in semiconductors, hardware and software, wireless communications, telecommunications and standard essential patents. Leveraging over a decade of engineering experience, John routinely collaborates with experts, engineers, inventors and in-house patent teams to develop effective legal strategies grounded in a deep understanding of client’s technology.

Prior to joining the firm, John worked as a hardware design engineer, where he designed and developed hardware and firmware for various server products.
