Hannah Kannegieter is a member of in the Litigation/Controversy Department and the International Arbitration Practice Group. Ms. Kannegieter has advised clients in international commercial and investment arbitrations across a range of industries under a variety of rules, including ICC, LCIA and ICSID.

Ms. Kannegieter previously clerked for the Honorable James O. Browning of the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Kannegieter was an associate at a leading US law firm in London.

    • Representing a US pharmaceutical company in an ICC arbitration seated in Singapore, governed by US and Singapore law, in a complex commercial dispute with an Asian biotechnology firm.
    • Representing a foreign investor in an ICSID arbitration sited in Washington DC, with international law applying, in a dispute with a Middle Eastern state involving claims valued at approximately $1 billion.
    • Representing a significant shareholder in five consolidated LCIA arbitrations seated in London, involving multibillion-dollar disputes under the laws of Switzerland, a South American state, and a Caribbean state.
    • Representing an ultra-high-net-worth individual in two related ICC arbitrations seated in Singapore, governed by English law and the law of a Southeast Asian state, in a multibillion-dollar dispute with a global food and beverage conglomerate concerning the termination of a long-term joint venture agreement.  
    • Representing a property developer in an ICC arbitration seated in Paris, governed by the law of a European state, in a complex commercial dispute with a European state involving claims valued at more than $300 million.
    • Advising an international financial institution on its obligations under treaties and customary international law in relation to planned policy revisions.
    • Advising a media organization on the scope of its obligations under various cross-border agreements, governed by the law of several US states, England and Wales, Singapore, and various other jurisdictions in Europe and Asia.
