Elena Gonzalez

Elena Gonzalez is a DA&I attorney on the firm's WilmerHale DiscoverySolutions team, focused on substantive and strategic areas of discovery for Litigation/Controversy matters. She joined the firm in 2011.

Ms. Gonzalez focuses her practice on issues of e-discovery. Specifically, she works with other attorneys, litigation support coordinators, and paralegals in order to provide efficient and cost effective discovery in litigations and investigations. Attorneys on these teams manage matters to create smarter document review processes through strategic and tactical work from preservation to collection and through review and production. In this role they utilize the firm's internal review software as well as e-discovery vendors' review and analytical tools.

Ms. Gonzalez has direct experience with document review and analysis. Before joining the firm full time, she worked as a contract attorney at WilmerHale and several other prominent New York law firms, including Hughes, Hubbard & Reed, LLP, Kirkland & Ellis, LLP and Boies, Schiller, & Flexner, LLP. Ms. Gonzalez has performed document and auditory review for major investment banks, financial services companies and pharmaceutical companies, relating to regulatory investigations, securities class actions and civil litigation. Prior to her contract work, Ms. Gonzalez was an associate at a law firm in upstate New York, where her practice encompassed many areas including criminal, employment/labor, municipal and real estate law.

Ms. Gonzalez is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
