Del Smith focuses his practice on complex litigation matters. Mr. Smith began his career at WilmerHale as a summer associate. 

While in law school, Mr. Smith was Co-Editor in Chief of USC Gould’s Review of Law and Social Justice. He was also a mediator in the USC Gould Mediation Clinic where he achieved settlements in small claims, unlawful detainer, and employment discrimination cases in the Los Angeles Superior Court system and the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Prior to law school, and joining the firm, Mr. Smith served as a Senate Fellow for California State Senator Anna Caballero and as a Legislative Deputy in the Office of Los Angeles City Councilmember Curren D. Price, Jr. As a Legislative Deputy, Mr. Smith led efforts to launch a pilot Universal Basic Income program in the City of Los Angeles.
