Cole Swaffield focuses his practice on complex transactional and tax-related matters. He joined WilmerHale as an associate in 2025.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Swaffield was a summer associate at two different Nashville-based law firms. After graduating from Vanderbilt Law School, he pursued an LLM in taxation at NYU with a focus towards partnership and corporate taxation. Mr. Swaffield received the Harry J. Rudick Memorial award for distinction in NYU’s tax program.
