Chelsey Jordan focuses her practice on complex litigation matters. During law school, she gained experience at the Santa Clara and Contra Costa Public Defender’s Offices, where she drafted memoranda on motions to suppress and evidentiary issues. Ms. Jordan also served as a judicial extern for Magistrate Judge Peter H. Kang at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, observing pretrial detention proceedings and preparing memoranda on discovery disputes.

During law school, Ms. Jordan was instrumental in organizing two symposiums. As senior symposium editor of the Santa Clara Law Review, she assisted in planning an event that educated the local community on the groundbreaking Racial Justice Act, which prohibits convictions tainted by racial bias at any stage of the process—from investigation to sentencing. In her role as Assistant for the Center of Social Justice, Ms. Jordan planned a symposium that focused on reparations for African Americans in California and explored next steps for the state’s Reparations Task Force.
