Asher S. McGuffin focuses his practice on complex litigation involving technology. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. McGuffin clerked for the Honorable Jennifer L. Hall of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware—the busiest court for patent litigation in the country. Previously, Mr. McGuffin was a technical specialist at another large law firm, where he focused on patent and trade secret trials.

Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. McGuffin worked as an engineer on cutting-edge projects. He designed autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles, researched the applications of spinning light in Boston University’s High Dimensional Photonics Lab, and helped launch a startup involving state of the art fiber-optic communication systems. Mr. McGuffin’s work led to multiple patents.
