Arabi Hassan
Associate
Arabi Hassan focuses her practice on complex litigation and government investigations. She represents a wide range of clients, including major university systems and multinational companies, in regulatory, anti-discrimination, commercial and data privacy matters. Her experience includes matters involving civil and criminal investigations by the US Department of Justice, US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, US Securities and Exchange Commission and the US Attorney’s Office. She began her career at WilmerHale in 2022 as a summer associate. Ms. Hassan maintains an active pro bono practice focused on immigration, education and post-conviction relief.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Hassan was the Executive Director of First Gen Empower, a non-profit organization that she founded in 2019. In that role, she advised K-12 school districts, universities and non-profits on legal and policy issues affecting immigrant students. Ms. Hassan remains involved in the firm’s pro bono work for First Gen Empower.
While at Harvard Law, Ms. Hassan served as a research and teaching fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, where she worked on data privacy issues. She also interned at the Data Privacy division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office and the Data Governance department of the ACLU National.
