Excerpt: In the beginning of 2020, before the world was brought to a standstill by the pandemic, 24 attorneys from diverse practice settings were preparing to begin training under the D.C. Bar's John Payton Leadership Academy, a largely in-person program that equips participants with the skills they need to thrive and succeed in fast-paced legal environments. By March, the attorneys found themselves learning in real time how to become resilient leaders during a crisis.
