WilmerHale is pleased to announce the arrival of Keith L. Slenkovich to the law firm’s Palo Alto office. Slenkovich, an experienced trial and appellate lawyer, joins as Partner in the firm’s Litigation Department.

In his 21 years of practice, Slenkovich has represented technology companies in intellectual property disputes and complex commercial litigation throughout the country. He joins WilmerHale from Thelen LLP where his intellectual property work included high stakes patent, trade secret and trademark cases, including disputes alleging infringement or misappropriation of source code, semiconductor technology, equipment and manufacturing process technology, business methods, confidential data compilations, insurance coverage for intellectual property claims and licensing disputes.

“Our clients will benefit greatly from Keith’s wealth of trial experience—from the US International Trade Commission to dozens of state and federal courtrooms throughout the country,” remarked Curtis L. Mo, Partner-in-Charge at WilmerHale Palo Alto. “We are excited to welcome Keith as the newest member of our firm community.” WilmerHale’s Palo Alto office, which opened in June 2005, now has more than 40 lawyers specializing in corporate, litigation, intellectual property, securities and antitrust matters.

The firm’s IP litigation practice is well-known as being one of the best in the nation. In January 2008, The American Lawyer named WilmerHale’s practice as its Intellectual Property Litigation Department of the Year. The practice was also recognized as one of the top four IP litigation practices in the magazine's two previous surveys, conducted in 2004 and 2006. The firm’s leading patent, copyright and trademark litigation team is backed by the academic and industry experience of more than 140 lawyers and technology specialists with scientific or technical degrees.

Slenkovich noted, “I’m excited to be a part of WilmerHale’s exceptional IP litigation practice, and part of a highly respected global law firm which has become a growing force in the California markets. I’m joining a terrific team, dedicated to high-quality work and results. I couldn’t be more pleased.”

Outside of the office, Slenkovich is involved with the American Bar Association (Intellectual Property Section), the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association, the Santa Clara County Law Foundations’ Fair Housing Project and Silicon Valley Habitat for Humanity.

Slenkovich received his JD from University of California, Berkeley School of Law and his BA from Colorado College. He is admitted to the bar in California and to the Supreme Court of the United States, US Court of Appeals for the Federal and Ninth Circuits, and all US District Courts within California and the Eastern District of Texas.
