The Private International Law Interest Group of the American Society of International Law awarded WilmerHale Counsel Adam Raviv with the 2011 Private International Law Prize. This award, the second annual prize competition for the best essay submitted on any topic in the field of private international law, was awarded to Mr. Raviv at the American Society of International Law’s Annual Meeting held in Washington, DC on Friday afternoon.

Mr. Raviv received the award for his essay, “No More Excuses: Toward a Workable System of Dispositive Motions in International Arbitration.”

The American Society of International Law is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational membership organization founded in 1906 and chartered by Congress in 1950. Based in Washington, DC, the organization’s mission is to foster the study of international law and to promote the establishment and maintenance of international relations on the basis of law and justice.
