Erin Meyer Receives City Bar Justice Center Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award

Attorney News

WilmerHale Pro Bono Counsel Erin Meyer has been selected to receive a 2026 Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award from the City Bar Justice Center in recognition of her exemplary work with its Veterans Assistance Project. The award recognizes Meyer’s commitment to providing pro bono legal services to veterans and supporting the project’s mission.

Inspired by her granduncle, a World War II veteran who taught her to live a life of service to others, Meyer became a VA-accredited attorney in 2016. Since then, she has represented veterans and engaged colleagues in this work.

Among her most memorable cases, Meyer secured disability benefits for a transgender veteran who survived military sexual trauma and a Vietnam veteran who developed Parkinson’s disease from exposure to Agent Orange.

“My clients’ extraordinary resilience continues to inspire me,” said Meyer. “Working with the Veterans Assistance Project has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.”

Meyer is being honored at the City Bar Justice Center’s awards celebration today at the New York City Bar Association.
