The Burton Awards has named WilmerHale Managing Partner Anjan Sahni the recipient of its 2027 Law Firm Leadership Award, which recognizes exceptional leadership and contributions to the legal profession.

William C. Burton, Founder and Chair of the Burton Awards, said of the recognition, “Mr. Sahni is admired by all. He is a true leader in the profession of law and has brought his firm to new heights. We are therefore delighted to recognize him.”

As the managing partner of WilmerHale, Sahni leads the firm’s strategic direction while also continuing to advise companies, boards, and senior executives in complex investigations, litigation, and crisis management. Before returning to WilmerHale in 2015, he spent more than a decade as a federal prosecutor in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where he held several senior leadership roles.

Sahni will be honored at the 2027 Burton Awards gala at the Library of Congress on June 7, 2027.
