WilmerHale has long been committed to pro bono representation of military veterans, from combat-related special compensation (CRSC) applications to discharge upgrades. We are proud to see this commitment recognized by our partners at the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP). Their annual Pro Bono Report highlights:
- Jaclyn Moyer, Meredith Loretta, Jessica Maneval and Blake Sweat for a victory at the Court of Federal Claims on behalf of a veteran seeking CRSC for PTSD;
- Ashley Bashur, Daniel Martin and Patrick Nyman for representing a Navy veteran with a traumatic brain injury in pursuing a discharge status upgrade;
WilmerHale’s collaboration with KPMG LLP in hosting a clinic for 10 veterans seeking discharge upgrades; and - 45 pro bono matters in which more than 180 WilmerHale attorneys represented veterans before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and in other disability benefits matters.
We are grateful to NVLSP for providing opportunities to serve those who have so bravely served our country.
