WilmerHale has been honored with the Legal Warrior Award from Lawyers for Civil Rights (LCR), recognizing the firm’s longstanding commitment to pro bono service, civil rights advocacy and the rule of law. The award was presented at LCR’s annual Civil Rights Reception in Boston on June 25.
The Legal Warrior Award honors a law firm that has demonstrated distinguished pro bono service and a strong commitment to advancing equity and justice. LCR highlighted WilmerHale’s leadership in the legal community, dedication to pro bono work and longstanding partnership with LCR.
Lisa Pirozzolo, a member of LCR’s board of directors, accepted the award on behalf of the firm. In her remarks, she reflected on the firm’s decades-long partnership with LCR and shared,
“Standing up for the rule of law is essential to our democracy. And for the last 60 years, we have been privileged to partner with Lawyers for Civil Rights to do just that.”
Pirozzolo noted that WilmerHale’s commitment to civil rights advocacy traces back to the firm’s legacy organizations and remains central to its work today. “We are deeply grateful for LCR’s enduring leadership and proud to be warriors in the trenches with LCR at this critical time,” she said.
LCR’s Executive Director, Iván Espinoza-Madrigal, described WilmerHale as “a true champion” and praised the firm’s “distinguished pro bono service” and commitment to fighting for equity and justice alongside the organization.
The reception brought together legal, business and community leaders from across the region to celebrate individuals and organizations advancing equality and justice.
