WilmerHale Honored with Immigration Equality's 2026 Safe Haven Award

Recognition

WilmerHale has been honored with the 2026 Safe Haven Award from Immigration Equality, the nation's leading advocate for the rights of LGBTQ+ immigrants and those living with HIV. The award recognizes the firm's longstanding commitment to pro bono representation in support of immigrant rights.

The award was presented on May 21, 2026, at Immigration Equality's annual Safe Haven Awards ceremony at the Tribeca 360 in New York City. Partner Kevin Lamb accepted the honor on behalf of the firm. Pro Bono Counsel Erin Meyer and Pro Bono Attorney Dorian Needham were also in attendance.

The Safe Haven Award recognizes WilmerHale's representation of asylum seekers and refugees in administrative and appellate proceedings and the firm's support for strategic litigation defending the rights of transgender individuals. Each year, Immigration Equality's Safe Haven Awards honor the law firms and advocates whose pro bono service helps secure safety and freedom for LGBTQ+ and HIV-positive immigrants. For more than 25 years, Immigration Equality has represented and advocated for thousands of LGBTQ+ and HIV-positive immigrants and their families.
