National Bar Association Names Rebecca Scaife a Top 40 Under 40: Nation’s Best Advocates for 2026

Recognition
The National Bar Association (NBA) has named Rebecca Scaife a recipient of its Top 40 Under 40: Nation’s Best Advocates Award for 2026, a highly competitive honor recognizing exceptional lawyers under the age of 40 who exemplify high achievement, professional excellence, leadership, vision, and service to the legal profession and community.

As a senior associate in WilmerHale’s Washington DC office, Rebecca’s practice focuses on government and internal investigations, complex litigation and providing strategic counsel to clients facing high‑stakes corporate and regulatory matters. She regularly advises companies and individuals on sensitive enforcement actions and internal reviews involving significant legal and reputational risk. Rebecca also represents private foundations and community foundations in federal agency investigations, congressional investigations, and state attorneys general investigations, and she provides regular counsel and risk management advice across several areas of grantmaking.  She brings a mission-first approach to her representations, providing strategic counsel to help clients align legal compliance with organizational goals and impact.

Alongside her client work, Rebecca maintains a pro bono practice focused on civil rights, voting rights, and criminal justice.  Rebecca also serves as an affinity group co-chair.

Each year, the NBA selects 40 attorneys nationwide who have distinguished themselves through outstanding advocacy, leadership and sustained commitment to advancing justice. The Top 40 Under 40 award is widely regarded as one of the organization’s most prestigious recognitions for emerging legal talent.

Rebecca will be honored alongside her fellow recipients at an awards ceremony on July 27, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee.
