The Times Names WilmerHale's Financial Crime and Fraud and Regulatory Practices in 2026 Best Law Firms List

Recognition

The Times of London has included WilmerHale in its 2026 list of Best Law Firms. Based on feedback from lawyers, this annual list highlights the top legal practices in the United Kingdom. This year, the publication once again commended WilmerHale for its extensive Financial Crime & Fraud & Regulatory practices.
WilmerHale is prominently featured in a profile by The Times for its consistent involvement in international cases.

“Highlights from the past year include representing the commodities and mining multinational Glencore in its interaction with compliance monitors appointed by the Department of Justice and the UK Serious Fraud Office’s follow-on individual prosecutions. This is part of a long-running investigation into allegations of bribery by the company’s oil trading division.

WilmerHale also advised a global financial institution and key witness in high-profile Upper Tribunal proceedings brought by a senior executive against the Financial Conduct Authority. The trial involved evidence from proceedings in the US in which WilmerHale provided the defence.
The firm advised a London inter-bank offered rate (Libor) submitter who was a key witness in regulatory investigations and civil litigation in the US and the UK — most recently in a case brought by the US Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in the High Court.”
