Bill Lee, Hallie Levin and Joseph Mueller Again Recognized in Benchmark Litigation’s Top 100 Trial Lawyers

Benchmark Litigation has named Partners Bill Lee, Hallie Levin, and Joseph Mueller in the 2026 edition of its Top 100 Trial Lawyers list. The legal directory describes those selected as partners noted by peers and clients for their proficiency in the practice of trial law. Additionally, all three Partners were listed as 2026 Litigation Stars by Benchmark Litigation earlier this month. 

Bill Lee is a leading trial and appellate lawyer and intellectual property litigator who has represented a variety of technology-focused clients for more than 40 years. Mr. Lee has tried more than 200 cases to verdict and argued more than 100 cases to the Court of Appeals of the Federal Circuit and other appellate courts. Those have included some of the highest profile cases of the last decade. Bill is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, the preeminent professional organization for North American trial lawyers. 

Hallie Levin, also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, is an experienced trial lawyer who serves as lead counsel on high-stakes commercial disputes in courts and arbitral tribunals around the country. She represents clients in connection with a wide variety of matters, including contract disputes, regulatory enforcement actions, antitrust cases, business torts, consumer protection challenges, and trade secrets disputes. Ms. Levin is ranked in Chambers USA for her general commercial litigation practice and has been recognized by Benchmark Litigation as Commercial Litigator of the Year and as a Top 10 Women in Litigation nationwide. 

Joe Mueller is a national trial lawyer who has led teams in high-stake trials in courts from coast-to-coast. Mueller is also Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Since 2020, Mr. Mueller has served as lead counsel in eight trials involving billion-dollar stakes, as well as two additional trials each involving multi-hundred-million-dollar stakes. He is ranked in Band 1 by Chambers for intellectual property, was named the 2025 Intellectual Property Litigator of the Year by Benchmark, and has been described by IAM Patent 1000 as being “in the top 1% of US patent trial lawyers of his generation.”  His trial experience also extends to many other substantive areas, including antitrust, contract, and criminal cases.
