Michael Mugmon and Sonal N. Mehta Recognized as Honorees in The Recorder’s 2025 California Legal Awards

Recognition

Partners Michael Mugmon and Sonal N. Mehta have been named 2025 California Legal Award honorees by The Recorder.

Mugmon, Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s San Francisco Office, has been recognized as an honoree in the Distinguished Leader category, which honors leaders who have achieved significant milestones in the past year. Mugmon—who maintains a wide-ranging national and international practice advising clients across many industries as they navigate complex and high-profile investigations, regulatory inquiries, criminal matters, litigation, and other threats—has played a major role in establishing WilmerHale’s West Coast presence, first as a founding member of the firm’s investigations practice in Palo Alto and then as a founding partner of its San Francisco Office, which expanded significantly earlier this year.

Mehta, Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Palo Alto Office and Vice Chair of the Litigation/Controversy Department, has again been recognized as an honoree in the Women Leaders in Tech category, which honors top women attorneys whose recent achievements have significantly advanced technology companies and the legal field. Mehta is a trial and appellate lawyer representing many of the world’s leading technology and life sciences companies in high-stakes disputes including antitrust, intellectual property, and commercial litigation matters, across the country. Mehta has been regularly recognized as a Woman Leader in Tech law by The Recorder over the years.
