WilmerHale Named The National Law Journal’s Inaugural Whistleblower Litigation Department of the Year

Recognition

The National Law Journal has selected WilmerHale as the winner of the publication’s first-ever Whistleblower Litigation Department of the Year contest in recognition of the firm’s exceptional litigation work. The new category is part of the publication's Litigation Department of the Year contests, which honor the top law firms in the US Capitol.

False Claims Act (FCA) Practice Group Co-Chair Christopher Babbitt is featured in a Q&A with The National Law Journal. In the firm's profile, Babbitt discusses the two biggest litigation cases from WilmerHale’s FCA practice in 2022, which included representing KBR in a qui tam action and Cigna in an FCA lawsuit.

The National Law Journal also recognized the diverse WilmerHale team of veteran litigators, including many former prosecutors and Justice and Defense Department lawyers.

“Our lawyers love to collaborate – with each other, clients, even lawyers at other firms to get positive results,” Babbitt states when describing the firm’s approach to litigation and strategy for success. “We create multidisciplinary teams with diverse experiences to be ready for an emerging challenge.”

The firm was honored at The National Law Journal’s Legal Awards for Professional Excellence celebration in Washington DC on October 26, 2023.
