Attorney News

Annsley Ward, a London-based intellectual property litigator, was recently appointed Chair of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property’s (AIPPI) Standing Committee of Trade Secrets. The Committee will be working on proposed legislation to harmonize the protection of trade secrets globally, as well as develop best practices for in-house counsel. She was also elected to the organization’s Programme Committee, which is responsible for researching and monitoring potential resolutions, as well as overseeing programming for the AIPPI World Congresses.

Ward previously served as the Vice Chairperson of the AIPPI’s Study Committee for the Trade Secrets Resolution and Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee on the Unified Patent Court. As a member of the leadership team addressing the Trade Secrets Study Question, which concerns the protection of trade secrets in civil proceedings, Ward played an integral role in the drafting of the committee’s resolution, which was passed at the Executive Committee meeting with 99% voting in favor.

With over 8,000 members worldwide, AIPPI is a leading non-profit association dedicated to the development and improvement of laws for the protection of intellectual property.
