Attorney News

WilmerHale is pleased to announce that Susan and Kevin Muck, highly respected and accomplished litigators, have joined the firm as partners in its Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice. Based in San Francisco, they will enhance the law firm’s presence in Northern California and amplify the many strengths shared between their practices and WilmerHale’s preeminent Securities Department.

Susan and Kevin Muck arrive from another international law firm where they founded and chaired the firm’s securities litigation and securities enforcement practices. Ms. Muck’s practice is split between public company representations in federal and state shareholder litigation, and internal or regulatory investigations for private and public companies. Mr. Muck concentrates his practice in defending issuers, officers and directors in shareholder class actions, derivative litigation, and cases challenging mergers and acquisitions.

“Susan and Kevin are well known across the nation as accomplished securities litigators and trusted board advisors. They each bring more than 30 years of significant experience counseling companies on a wide array of legal matters,” said Robert Novick, co-managing partner at WilmerHale. “They will be valuable contributors to our Securities Department and expand our capabilities in important geographic regions for our clients. We are delighted to welcome them to our team.”

“Kevin and I were drawn to WilmerHale’s long-standing reputation as being a leading practice in the securities enforcement, litigation and regulatory spaces. They are familiar to us as we’ve observed and worked closely with them, both as opposing and co-counsel, for many years. I look forward to working side by side with WilmerHale lawyers and continuing to counsel clients on their most complex and challenging issues,” said Ms. Muck.

“WilmerHale’s roster of former high-ranking government officials and ability to bridge Bay Area and Washington DC–focused practices and client needs were an important part of my and Susan’s decisions to make a move. I look forward to working alongside WilmerHale’s lawyers and joining a firm with strong Washington roots and an incredibly deep bench,” said Mr. Muck.
