Partner David Cohen was recently named to the advisory board of the National Security Institute (NSI) at George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School.

The NSI at the Scalia Law School describes itself as “a platform for research, teaching, scholarship, and policy development” related to the security threats facing the United States and its allies. It places special emphasis on better understanding the legal and practical challenges encountered by the defense, intelligence, homeland security, law enforcement and cybersecurity communities in achieving their missions.

Cohen served as both a former Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Under Secretary of the US Department of Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence during the Obama Administration.

On the advisory board, he joins a bipartisan group of other former senior government officials, including former CIA and National Security Agency directors, a former Attorney General, a former Homeland Security Secretary, and a former House Intelligence Committee Chairman.
