Mindy Sooter Elevated to Chair of the Colorado Bar Association’s IP Section

Firm News

Mindy Sooter, a partner in the Denver office whose practice focuses on patent litigation and other intellectual property and business disputes, has been elevated to chair of the Colorado Bar Association's Intellectual Property (CBA IP) Section.

“Mindy is an excellent choice to lead the Colorado Bar Association's IP Section because she is an accomplished attorney whose exceptional work has been recognized by her clients, colleagues, peers and industry,” says Natalie Hanlon Leh, co-partner-in-charge of the Denver office. “She is a seasoned patent litigator with experience in electrical engineering, telecommunications and computer science, and she has litigated in courts throughout the United States, and at the US International Trade Commission. It is gratifying to see her CBA colleagues think as highly of her as we do.”

As the chair of the CBA IP Section, Sooter is responsible for ensuring that the section focuses on educational programs and the exchange of information about new or proposed developments in the intellectual property field. This field embraces patent, copyright and trademark matters as well as antitrust, trade secrets and unfair competition issues.
