Gary Born, chair of WilmerHale's International Arbitration Practice Group and the world's preeminent authority on international commercial arbitration and international litigation, will address the historical development and contemporary status of the right to arbitrate. His lecture will examine the treatment of arbitration, and concepts of private autonomy over the resolution of commercial and other disputes, particularly in international settings. He will also consider the contemporary significance of the right to arbitrate, again particularly in international settings.
