Solicitor General Don Verrilli and the FCC Year in Review

Speaking Engagement
WilmerHale and the Federal Communications Bar Association are pleased to host an event featuring Donald Verrilli, Solicitor General of the United States. Mr. Verrilli will take part in a panel discussion on the recent City of Arlington decision from the Supreme Court, which deals with the application of Chevron to questions of agency authority.

The program will begin with Richard Welch and Jake Lewis from the FCC General Counsel's Office, who will discuss major decisions from the past year affecting the FCC and the communications industries. This first panel will be moderated by WilmerHale alumnus Jack Goodman.

Following that presentation, Mr. Verrilli and a panel of distinguished appellate lawyers, including Tom Goldstein of Goldstein & Howe, Jon Nuechterlein of WilmerHale, and Chris Wright of Wiltshire & Grannis, will discuss City of Arlington and its impact on Chevron and agency practice generally.  Paul Verkuil, who chairs the Administrative Conference of the United States, will moderate the City of Arlington panel.
