Since 1996, international law firm Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, together with Humboldt University of Berlin, has been hosting the annual International Berlin Business and Trade Law Conference. The one-day conference invites representatives from the academic, business and political world to engage in dialogue, forging a link between academic research and business practice.

This year’s event focus is "Global Investors - Local Interests: Challenges for Capital Markets Regulation." The keynote speaker, Alexander Dibelius, Chairman of Goldman Sachs Germany, will lead a discussion entitled "International Capital Markets and Conflict in the Financial Crisis." WilmerHale's Dieter Lange, Elizabeth Derbes and Dr. Roland Steinmeyer will also be speakers at this event.
