The Georgetown International Arbitration Society (GIAS) will host the Second Annual International Arbitration Month in February, which will include an array of events held throughout the month. The events include three practical workshops in which arbitration professionals lead students through oral advocacy exercises, direct and cross-examination simulations, and numerous guest speakers on topics relating to ICSID, The World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, Ethics, Latin American arbitration and hot-button contemporary cases.
WilmerHale Senior Counsel James Carter will be the keynote speaker. He will present on the topic, "International Arbitrators: Who They Are, What They Do, Why They Do It, and How to Become One."
