Boston Bar Association: The Origin and Fate of Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products (PPCPs) In Wastewater

Speaking Engagement
The environmental role of PPCPs, such as prescription and nonprescription drugs, antibiotics, hormones, and fragrances, is not well understood. Certain PPCPs, known as endocrine disruptors, have the potential to interfere with the normal function of animal endocrine systems and impact growth, development, and reproduction. This panel will explore the susceptibility of surface waters to emerging contaminants and efforts underway to understand and regulate their impacts, including through the development of water quality criteria.

WilmerHale senior associate Tina Wu served as a moderator at this event.
