The real and perceived causes of the sudden collapse of markets around the globe and the ensuing economic crisis are already giving rise to sweeping regulatory change. The ABA presented, at their 2008 Fall Meeting entitled "Meltdown! Perspectives on the Future of Financial Services Regulation, "a panel of experts that represented the Section's Study Group on Regulation of Financial Markets that reviewed the causes and the suggested and potential regulatory reforms that are needed to address this collapse.

WilmerHale partners Jonathan Wolfman and Lori Martin were featured speakers at this event. Mr. Wolfman spoke on the topic of "Implementing the SEC's Website Guidance." Ms. Martin spoke on the topic of "Attorney-Client Privilege and SEC Examinations."
