27th Data Protection Congress 2026

27th Data Protection Congress 2026

Berlin, Germany
Speaking Engagement

WilmerHale will once again be a partner of the Handelsblatt Data Protection Congress in 2026. Our partner Dr. Martin Braun will participate as a speaker/moderator in Berlin from May 19 to 21, 2026, and will provide insight into current developments in data protection law.

Under the motto “Data Protection 2026: Actively Shaping Change,” the 27th Data Protection Congress will address the growing legal, political, and technical challenges ten years after the GDPR came into force. With initiatives such as the EU Digital Omnibus, the BDSG amendment, and new rules on employee data protection, key issues for companies and authorities are coming even more sharply into focus.

The Handelsblatt Data Protection Congress is one of the most important conferences for data protection experts in the German-speaking world. The event brings together decision-makers from business, administration, politics, and science and once again expects 300 to 400 participants.
